Xiaomi will launch 3 foldable smartphones in 2021

Xiaomi will be launching 3 foldable smartphones in 2021. Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), shared the possible developments via Twitter. Previously, Xiaomi had already been referring to a foldable smartphone to be in the works. Besides Xiaomi, other players including Oppo and Samsung are also planning to work on foldable smartphones.

According to Display analyst Ross Young, Xiaomi is awaiting to launch foldable smartphones with styles such as out-of-folding, in-folding, and clamshell next year(2021) , reports GizmoChina.

Young added that Xiaomi produced -folding foldable smartphone that might be like the Huawei Mate X. There is a chance that the out-folding smartphone would have a display of around 8 inches. Recently, Xiaomi filed a patent for a foldable smartphone with a quad-camera device that rotates forward for selfies and back for regular images. The manufacturer of smartphones has filed a design patent for an inward bent phone in China and has also created 48 photographs to display the handset.

Features of the New Xiaomi Foldable smartphone (2021)

According to Young, Galaxy Z Flip 3/Flip Lite will have a 6.7-inch display and the South Korean tech giant would integrate 120Hz refresh rate and low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPO) technology on the handset.

Citing OLED research company UBI Analysis, the study estimated that the Galaxy Z Flip 2 will have a 6.7-inch internal screen with a 3-inch external screen. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have a 7-inch internal screen and a 4-inch external screen. The Galaxy Z Fold Lite will also have a 7-inch internal screen and a 4-inch external screen. The report also claimed that all three Samsung foldable models would use ultra-thin glass as a window cover. It will also use the in-folding design process.
