Lava to launch Made-in India smartphones on January 7

Indian smartphone brand Lava announced the launch of Made in India smartphones on 7 January 2021. The business has been announcing the arrival of its new phones on Twitter for a few days, and it has finally announced that it will hold an online event next month. Lava sent an invitation to the January 7 event to see the unveiling of new smartphones from the Indian retailer. The Indian business has been promoting the launch since last week and today it has publicly announced that the new smartphones will have “evolved and dynamic engineering.” The tweet also mentions #AbDuniyaDekhegi and #ProudlyIndian hashtags.

Lava BeU’s smartphone, built with women buyers in mind, has already been featured on its website.

The Company has previously reported to Gadgets 360; that it will launch a total of five tablets, including Lava BeU, in January.

Lava India, President and Business Head, Sunil Raina, in the invite about the made in India Smartphones said, “I invite you to witness something that has never happened in the smartphone industry before. Tune in to the live webcast of history in the making. I promise what follows will make you feel proudly Indian.”

Price of Lava Made in India Smartphone

Lava first teased the launch of its BeU Made in India smartphone with a tweet on December 23rd. It came a day after the launch of the Lava BeU with dual rear cameras in India. The company has already made an announcement that the price of the smartphone in India has been set at Rs. 6,888 for its single 2GB + 32GB capacity version. The phone is also on the official website. The tablet, exclusively for women, can be bought in Rose Pink color.

Lava also said that the new smartphones would be priced between 5,000 and 15,000 . They will be available via both online and offline platforms.

Specifications for Lava BeU

The dual-SIM (Nano) Lava BeU runs on Android 10 (Go edition) and boasts a 6.08-inch HD+ display (720×1,560 pixels) with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The monitor has a shield of 2.5D curved glass and has a waterdrop-like notch. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz, combined with 2GB of DDR4 RAM. 32GB of on-board storage is expandable via a microSD slot.

For imaging, Lava BeU comes with a dual rear camera system that features a 13-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.85 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The handset also features an 8-megapixel selfie snapper on the front, with an f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, 4.2 Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone port. Lava BeU has a 4.060mAh lithium polymer battery pack. The handset even comes with a fingerprint scanner on the rear. It measures 155.5×73.3×9.82mm and weights 175.8 g.
