Irrfan Khan to be seen last time on the silver screen in 2021

Irrfan Khan is to be seen one last time on the silver screen with the release of The Song of Scorpions in 2021. The film, written and directed by Anup Singh,  is a “story of twisted love, revenge and the redemptive power of a song.”

The movie stars Golshifteh Farahani, Waheeda Rehman, and Shashank Arora. While The Song of Scorpions is not the final project for which Irrfan was filmed; it will be the last film of his career to see the light of day. The Song of Scorpions debuted at the 70th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland in August 2017.

The Song of Scorpions starring Irrfan Khan will release on the silver screen in early 2021 by Panorama Spotlight along with 70 MM Talkies.

Babil Khan shared the film’s motion poster on Instagram 

Irrfan’s son Babil Khan posted the motion picture poster on Instagram. He captioned the picture, “One more time, perhaps not the last. #thesongofscorpions.”

Irrfan Khan on Silver screen one final time(2021)

Actor Irrfan Khan, who passed in April of this year, will be on the silver screen for the last time in 2021. The last film of the actor, The Song of Scorpions, will be made into a movie next year.

The film follows Nooran (Farahani), a ferociously independent tribal woman who practices the ancient healing art of scorpion singing from her grandma Zubeidaa. According to a legend, if a scorpion attacks you, you will die before a scorpion-singer sings her song and heals you.

Adam, the character of Irrfan Khan, is the camel trader Aadam who falls in love with Nooran. Speaking about the release of the movie Abhishek Pathak, producer, and director at Panorama Spotlight, said this in a tweet.

“The Song of Scorpions is a special story, and it is truly an honor for us to present Irrfan Khan’s final performance in it. We will be offering this film to the audiences as a tribute to the beloved star of Indian cinema. The era of cinema in India and abroad has benefitted from his acting prowess. We’re happy to have canvassed his swansong.”

Irrfan Khan was last seen in Angrezi Medium, that came out in March of this year.
