Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise on June 14 last year left a huge void not just in the hearts of his fans, friends, and family, but also in Bollywood. A man of many talents, Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) pursued a lot of other passions along with acting. On his death anniversary today, we take a look at the actor’s varied interests:
1. Love for science

Sushant had a deep interest in all things celestial and had frequently shared items on social media about physics and astronomy. He was fascinated by the mysteries of space, and he even had an expensive telescope to watch the sky. The actor was known for inviting guests over to his house to watch the stars.
2. Sportsperson

Sushant’s portrayal in the MS Dhoni biopic received a lot of positive feedback. But it wasn’t because of the movie that he became interested in sports. Archery, cricket, lawn tennis, mixed martial arts, and other sports had long piqued the actor’s interest. During the 2020 lockdown, he was also looking on virtual reality gaming.
3. Religion

Sushant was also a devout follower of Lord Shiva and his social media feed is full of posts dedicated to the God. Talking about how his spiritual beliefs were a major part of his unique personality, filmmaker Rumy Jafry said, “We all know he is a big Shiv bhakt. When I went to his farm in Pavna he took me to his lawn where he had installed a statue of Mahadev. In fact, when he visited my house in Mumbai for the first time, he drove down personally and had a hard time finding a parking spot. He then found one at a building next to ours. He got very excited seeing the name of the building, which was ‘Shiv’shakti”

On social media, the late actor was frequently seen posting poems and writings. His regular posts, in fact, had a deep meaning. He enjoyed music as well, and he posted a few videos of himself playing guitar on YouTube.
