Paytm was taken down on Friday at Google play Store. Netizens thought that it was banned and reacted in a hilarious way. Some thought it was a new app that Modi had banned, some thought it was Akshay Kumar’s new investment and some thought it was Chinese investment.

After seeing the reaction of social media, Paytm tweeted-

Dear Paytm'ers,
Paytm Android app is temporarily unavailable on Google's Play Store for new downloads or updates. It will be back very soon.
All your money is completely safe, and you can continue to enjoy your Paytm app as normal.

Paytm is India’s most valuable startup and claims over 50 million monthly active users. Its marquee app, which competes with Google Pay in India. After seeing the reaction on social media, paytm said that it already notified the developers and Google said “We don’t allow online casinos or support any unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting. This includes if an app leads consumers to an external website that allows them to participate in paid tournaments to win money.”

However, paytm informed people about it’s shut and that their money is safe. It was shut for new updates and downloads.
