He is an international fame bodybuilder who made India proud by bagging the International Indian title in 2016. He has also won a silver medal in the Federation Cup and a Bronze medal in World Bodybuilding & Physique Federation, 2014. Anil Gochikar has always been supported by his family. A lawyer by profession he started his career in bodybuilding when he turned 30.

Called the bodyguards of Lord Jagannath, Anil Gochikar belongs to the ‘daitapati’ sect of sevayats of Lord Jagannatha at Puri. The look alike of Mahendra Bahubali is often found wearing dhoti in his home town and attracts many locals and tourists. One such image that went viral on the net is this.
Anil Gochikar is a pure vegetarian!
There is usually a common saying amongst people that Vegans just can’t be bodybuilders. But that doesn’t hold true here. Mr. India and Mr. Odisha winner, he advocates a plant-based diet when it comes to muscle training. His daily diet is full of green vegetables and fruits (2-2.5 kg) and for protein intake, he depends on milk (4-5 liters) and cheese (500 g), paneer, etc.
He hails from a Brahmin family and has never touched non-vegetarian food. According to the Scriptures, a vegetarian diet is the best diet. He defies the belief that muscles can only be built by eating eggs and meat. Even got mocked several times at the beginning of this career, but he stuck to being a strict vegetarian. He believes cooking in pottery that is full of nutrients.
