Dangal is a must watch movie in all aspects. It inspires us to believe in dreaming big and that constant efforts and hard work never goes in vain. This is a true event based movie and reveals that an ordinary man who had to give up his passion when he had to prioritize survival over passion, but later fulfills his dreams through his two daughters beating all the odds that came across their way.
It is the story of dreaming big, working hard to achieve it and finally making it happen. This also reflects the hardwork and dedication of the actor Amir Khan who has gone through real physical struggle to appear as a teenager, a man of 40s and as a senior citizen through gaining and losing weight to appear in three forms. You expect certain things from a Rajkumar Hirani movie, after all, the man just doesn’t know how to make flop movies. The performances are outstanding, Ranbir has put everything he has into this role. The acting skills potrayed by everyone play an important part in hiding some of the most evident flaws of the movie.
The direction is what makes you completely engrossed in this movie. Rajkumar has done a fabulous job despite the storyline not being that strong. He keeps the movie going and paces it beautifully in those emotional moments where you’re made to feel each & every sentiments of this persona of a man.
The movie is simply priceless and really memorable making it the top second highest bollywood grossers!

PK is an incredible movie that communicates a very complex and personal topic extremely well that, hopefully, most will understand. It demonstrated very cleverly, without denigrating anyone’s personal beliefs about their religion, that all religion is a bunch of man-made rules that people interpret take very deeply personally.
PK is a movie you can watch over and over again. The movie’s plot is such that the questions elevated in the movie are so deep that they’ll make you question your OWN reality and it even reflects our own lives. A dramatic comedy, with a few touches of romance, and of course the fantasy pushed bollywood to a whole new level. This blockbuster movie, released in 2014, is still one of the top bollywood grossers!
4. Tiger Zinda Hai
Director: Ali Abbas Zafar
Cast: Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif
Release Date: 22 December 2017
Box-Office Collections: Rs. 339.16 crore
The sequel to Ek Tha Tiger is bigger and has more of everything one looks for in an action thriller. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, it delivers Bhai style entertainment against a backdrop of a story inspired by true events and an international scale of presentation. The director wins the challenge of keeping the audience engaged inspite of the predictable end point & long duration (2 hours 40 min) through an enthralling screenplay, amazing soundtrack, superbly executed action scenes, real texture, punchy dialogues, enough surprises along the journey and some fine performances by the main cast. The only negative is the forced fit message of peace between Ind-Pak.
The film is top notch in the technical aspects at par with any international action thriller. Overall, a film with all the ingredients of a Blockbuster climbing up the way to the top bollywood grossers list. Even non Salman fans will come back entertained.
5. Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Director: Kabir Khan
Cast: Salman Khan, Harshaali Malhotra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Release Date: 17 July 2015
Box-Office Collections: Rs. 320.34 crore
Bollywood and Salman have mostly been associated with method films that guarantees success and fame almost always. But with Kabir Khan it is not same, even his perfect method films aren’t really those typical ones you see every other day. But, it does make it to our top bollywood grossers list!
“Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is a perfect emotional movie and makes for a perfect viewing. A god-fearing, Hanuman worshiping earnest Bajrangi who thinks even eating meat is a sin and entering mosque is taboo. The child actor Harshali Malhotra plays a mute six-year-old Pakistani citizen who accidentally strays into India and it’s her character that brings out the best from Salman Khan or Pavan as he is addressed in the movie. The mute one communicates all her feelings through her poignant eyes.
Their bond is charming and their chemistry is mind-blowing. You can sit back and let the plot take you for a ride into an area in world whose existence Indians don’t even acknowledge.Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the Pakistani TV scribe nearly steals the show with his story on the little girl lost in border.
Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Vaani Kapoor
Release Date: 02 October 2019
Box-Office Collections: Rs. 317.91
The whole story of War movie revolves around these two and it’s really difficult to ascertain who delivered better than the other. Hrithik Roshan is always a proven star underlying perfection in every role he plays. Remarkable is the top of the class character played by Tiger Shroff who had played the best role of his career in War movie.
Filming, acting, and action is there three strong pillars of the War movie. Vaani Kapoor in her small role as Naina is quite impressive. Hrithik Roshan as Kabir Luthra and Tiger Shroff as Khalid Rahmani are two most talented officers of Indian Army intelligence wing fighting against global terrorists having an eye on India in a big way.
As the story evolves mystery, suspense, action, all take an absolute shape in such a way that it becomes difficult to blink your eyes in wake of missing any crucial bit of a sequence. It’s so engaging in a spellbound manner. In my opinion, this is one of the best movies not to be missed by any person of any age. There is a significant portion of thrill in War movie for everybody to enjoy exclusively. It’s a kind of exclusive treat to eyes for everyone that makes this movie as one of the top bollywood grossers!
Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Cast: Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor
Release Date: 25 January 2018
Box-Office Collections: Rs. 302.15 crore
The cinematography and the interior decor -no match from the recent films can be made excepting Bahubali. The computer works were flawless. The scenes were each a cut above others. The disjointed feeling from one scene to another sometimes may make one feel a bit confused, but we must remember that in this film there were more than 300 cuts by Censor Board, hence, the disjointed feeling.
First of all, Deepika Padukone, this movie raised her to an unbelievable level where at present no mere actress can compete. Her poise, her grace, her dignity – they enhance her beauty to an unbelievable level.
Shahid Kapoor is just terrific. Have always known that the boy had talent, and he effectively showed it. In fact, in his scenes with Ranveer Singh, he surpassed the latter with his quiet and dignified manner. You tend to forget his real identity, and therein lies his success. He has done extensive workshops on swordsmanship, archery, graceful novel-like postures, voice modulation and they paid him off well.
The role suited Ranveer Singh perfectly than anything else. He did what was expected of him, and more. His fights, his ruthlessness, reminds of BaziRao Mastani, but his cruelty, his lust and his nefariousness added to it. He dominates the entire film. You cannot forget him easily – those cruel kohl-rimmed eyes would haunt you. No wonder it’s one of the top bollywood grossers of the decade!
Director: Ali Abbas Zafar
Cast: Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma
Release Date: 6 July 2016
Box-Office Collections: Rs 300.45 crore
So, this is the first movie where Salman Khan takes off his shirt and everyone – including Khan – shudders. Portraying Sultan, who goes from being fit and lean to a gloomy, middle-aged, paunch-burdened man, Khan performs with elan and unhappiness, his acting giving Sultan a nice, rounded punch. It sure does increased Salaman Khan’s Net worth.
At nearly three hours of runtime, Sultan gets heavy and repetitive – only so many training sequences can look sharp. Despite the flaws and several clichés, Sultan has an emotional core that is hard to resist. It definitely didn’t stop the movie from being the top bollywood grossers!
9. Dhoom 3
Director: Vijay Krishna Acharya
Cast: Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra
Release Date: 20 December 2013
Box-Office Collections: Rs. 284.27 crore
Several aspects set Dhoom 3 apart from the rash of current Indian action films: top-notch special effects (especially in one character’s digitally enhanced double role); clever costuming, most notably in Khan’s velvet vests and other steampunk attire; and dazzlingly mounted dance numbers that fill up the screen with life and color.
Dhoom 3 also includes a few rotten elements common to Hindi films, such as improbable
shifts in location; uniformly awful acting from the non-Indians in the cast; and the shameless borrowing of ideas (from Now You See Me, The Town and one or two Bourne films). No matter what, visuals will mesmerize you till the end and it’s sure to on the list of top Bollywood grossers!
10. Tanhaji : The Unsung Hero
Director: Om Raut
Cast: Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol
Release Date: 10 January 2020
Box-Office Collections: Rs. 279.55 crore
Watch an epic battle where the stardoms and mannerisms of the actors take a back seat and the film and it’s characters rise much above the real life personas. Cruelty is not larger than life, patriotism is not enforced with hard hitting monologues, fluidity of narrative and characterisation makes the film a compelling watch.
Ajay Devgn’s 100th is a landmark, no doubt. From the days of head gears, sneakers and bikes.. he has matured as one of the most bankable actors and he earns respect with his potrayal of Tanhaji again what he earned with his legendary Bhagat Singh’s character.
Saif is back at his menacing best. His line in between the eyebrows and smile is enough to send chills. Langda tyagi has some serious competition. There is no point comparing with Ranveer’s khilji, Saif has presented us a breathtaking and stellar show and his combat scenes with his brutal laughters are going to linger on.
The film is shot in 3D which is soothing and undoubtedly the best. The script and fantastic razor sharp direction which keeps you engrossed and involved. Brilliant use of acoustics and tunes absolutely gelling with the feel flavour and flow of the film. It justifies to be one of the recent top bollywood grossers!
