The OnePlus Nord 2 is all set to launch in India soon. Amazon has published a dedicated page, which not only confirms the launch, but also the processor it will offer. The successor to the OnePlus Nord will be powered by a customised MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset.
The company promises that users will have a fast and fluid experience with this mid-range phone. OnePlus claimed in a blog post that the chip will help provide better photography, a better display, and faster gaming response times.
Its camera will feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, which is the same lens used on the OnePlus 9 Pro ultrawide camera.
Under the hood of the OnePlus Nord 2, there will be a custom MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset. While we’ve already seen the Dimnesity 1200 SoC in action on the Realme X7 Max (Review), OnePlus claims to have worked closely with MediaTek to tune the chipset’s performance on the Nord 2.
The rumour mill also claims that the OnePlus Nord 2 camera will feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, which is also found on the OnePlus 9 Pro’s ultrawide camera. The other two cameras will feature an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth sensor.
While OnePlus hasn’t revealed an exact launch date for the OnePlus Nord 2, rumours suggest the device will be released on July 22. This is possible because Amazon has already released the teasers, and the company typically begins teasing new products weeks before they are released. In India, the OnePlus Nord will most likely be available through Amazon.
Its price in India is expected to be slightly higher than the original Nord (Review). In India, the device is expected to cost less than Rs 30,000.
