1. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani definitely allows you to relive those fun trips you took with friends in your college days. The idea of a backpacking trip with friends is an exciting one, and it made us want to pack our bags and embrace Kal pe sawal hai, jeena filhaal hai in its entirety. Shot in the snow-clad mountains of Gulmarg represented as Manali in the movie, Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani urges you to go trekking with your friends once this lockdown ends.

The protagonist teaches us to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and explore while learning to love ourselves.

3. Queen
Queen is one movie that has made all girls out there to get on with their solo-trip. This film has shown us that it is as safe for women to travel solo (or backpack through Europe) as it is for men and we can make some great friends along the way. While Rani travels to Paris and Amsterdam for her solo-honeymoon, you can try out various countries of your choice.
Where are you headed, girls?

4. The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty
Not going to give a summary or review of this precious gem but I’ll tell you what are all the life lessons that are ahead of you.
Life is for living, not dreaming. Even though there’s no harm in dreaming, the movie reminds us not to get stuck but live life to the fullest.
As much as we’re interested in capturing the moment to post it on the ‘gram, this movie always reminds me to not get too caught up in capturing the moment and that we can just experience the moment as it is.
It reminds us to look inside to find the answers, rather than seeking them out externally. To put it simply, we already have the answers we’re seeking.
One significant thing I’ve learned from movies like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, is that travel helps you find yourself. There are so many more life lessons to be learned from this wonderful movie. What are you waiting for?

5. The Beach
People believed traveling was all about hotels and luxury getaways until Leonardo shuffled between hostels and noisy markets in Thailand proving us wrong. This movie captures the essence of the beauty of Thailand’s outer islands (Ko Phi Phi).
Leonardo Dicaprio stars in this Danny Boyle film which takes us through the beautiful coast of Thailand seeking some real adventure while enchanting us with his eyes. The picturesque locales in the film will encourage you to start planning a Thailand itinerary very different from the ones we usually do. Watch it to learn more.

6. The Bucket List
A sweet, feel-good film about death and friendship which motivated a lot of people to come up with their own bucket list of things they wanted to do before they died or got too old to do them.
Age is but a number – accurately captured in The Bucket List. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson convince us to tick things off your bucket list only to be more satisfied with how you have lived.
It might not be the funniest or the deepest comedies out there, but it is sure to make you wonder about all the places you want to visit yourself, and all the experiences you want to have. Start making your own Bucket List now!
Cast: Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson.

7. Highway
Highway effectively captures the Stockholm Syndrome as a theme but also successfully gives the audience a sense of the freedom that one achieves while traveling. It captures the North in a beautifully organic fashion. Unlike many movies, this movie presents the locations in their most raw form.
Alia’s Highway was a visual delight and left us craving to escape in a truck to faraway lands. From Sangla Valley in Himachal Pradesh to Aru Valley and Chandanwari near Pahalgam, touching the plains of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab.
Cast: Alia Bhatt, Randeep Hooda, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Naina Trivedi.
Binge on: Disney+ Hotstar.
